About the Islamic Community of Tallahassee

The Islamic Center of Tallahassee (ICT) strives to serve the Muslim population of the big bend region by providing prayer services 5 times a day, and an Islamic school for the new generation of muslims where they can truly learn Islam and become active members of this community. It also provides Islamic activities to strengthen the Islamic community ties socially and religiously.

Vision
Our vision is to establish ICT as a multi-ethnic and vibrant Islamic center that caters to the religious, educational, and social needs of the Muslim communities of Tallahassee.

Mission
Our mission is to serve the needs of the community with excellence and in accordance with established religious guidelines and ethics. Islamic Center of Tallahassee’s mission is to instill the Islamic values in the Muslim community, foster a community of unity and tolerance between Muslims and non-Muslims. Encourage creativity, innovations, and ingenuity. Science and education are the bedrock of our faith. The first verse was revealed to Prophet Mohammed (SAAW) was “Read”.

Islamic Center of Tallahassee (ICT) offers a place to pray, host Weekend Islamic School on Sundays & Summer School, conduct Marriage Services, Funeral Services, Quranic and Arabic classes for adults and teenagers. We would like you to come, join us for these activities and make this community a success.

The Islamic Center of Tallahassee (ICT) comprises a wide range of Muslims from many ethnic backgrounds such as from Asian, South Asian, African, European, and Middle-Eastern descent. Special activities include Iftar gatherings during Ramadan, with daily Taraweeh prayer and educational lectures.

There are two Mosques and an Islamic School in the capital city, Tallahassee, FL. The Islamic Center of Tallahassee (ICT) is a center that has been dedicated to worshipping and the education of the general public and the spiritual growth and enhancement of its community. The Islamic Center of Tallahassee has many activities such as the Weekend Islamic School, weddings and funeral services, holding study sessions, and holding a community gathering events. All of these activities aim to get the Islamic community member closer to each other and to improve the community itself and to raise a future generation of righteous Muslims. It is with the grace and mercy of Allah that we share our faith and our houses of worship with all those that are willing to learn about Islam and Muslims.
